April 3, 2020 - Hosanna, Jesus is King!

Our journey through the season of Lent has taken us to a place we all would not choose to be. But here we are, and this Sunday is Palm Sunday.

I think most of us are beginning to feel a little cabin fever about now with no end in sight. It is important that we pay attention to our souls during this time. One way we can do this is through reading our scriptures and letting them guide us in our prayers, prayers where we take time to listen to God. All too often we jump from Palm Sunday to Easter and skip over the passion of Jesus, the part where he dies on a cross for all of us. You can pick one of the Gospels to read this in, or, you can read all four accounts.

In Matthew that would be 26:1 through 27:66.

In Mark it is 14:1 through 15:47.

In Luke it is 22:1 through 23:56.

In John it is 13:1 through 19:42

It is my belief that when you walk with Jesus through the week between Palm Sunday and Easter morning that the resurrection truly comes alive in our souls. I also believe that in this anxious time we are going through that the assurance of the resurrection will lift us all up.

Holy God take us through the valley with Jesus this week so that we can live the resurrection. Amen.

Always, to God be the glory!
